This is a project by Aloka Design Studio in collaboration with GTJ, a spice export company.
Our clients, a dynamic young team embarking on their legacy business, wanted to create a Gen Z-friendly office environment.
Motivated by the post-COVID era and a surge in advertising and creative marketing endeavors, they envisioned an office space that showed trendiness and vibrancy.
The clients expressed a need for an additional workstation, distinct from the current one, to serve as a daily huddle spot for executives to discuss their agendas.
Rather than placing cables on the floor, I explored the idea of suspending them from the ceiling, allowing power access without invasive groundwork. The false ceiling became the channel for running cables neatly and invisibly.

Design Development & Process
The challenge was to design a table with power supply without digging up for raceways while also creating a contrasting aesthetic to the existing workstations.
This intervention created a warm, inviting nook for the clients, offered the illusion of a more expansive space, and quietly became the highlight of the office—despite blending seamlessly with the walls behind it.
