These artworks were created in 2016 during my time at Dessin Art academy, where I explored the medium acrylic on canvas.
Using a mix of brushes, palette knives, and layered strokes, the pieces became an experiment in texture, depth, and vibrancy. The knife strokes contrasted with the controlled detailing of fine brushes, allowing me to build a composition that feels dynamic yet rooted.

FINAL OUTCOME
This piece is both a personal experiment in technique and a reflection of how art can capture the duality of tradition and modern expression. It reminds me of how storytelling in visual form doesn’t always have to be literal—it can be layered, symbolic, and even whimsical.
CONCEPT & DIRECTION
Coincidentally, the overall theme evolved into a celebration of India’s cultural fabric. Women—portrayed as central figures—symbolize balance and resilience in society. The peacock, India’s national bird, and the tiger, the national animal, embody pride and strength, while the vibrant village scenes highlight everyday life in their raw, colorful essence. Even mythological gods were reinterpreted in a playful, cartoonish style, breaking away from traditional depictions to make them more approachable and contemporary.
